PREMIER ’98 RED GIRLS REACH PRESIDENTS’ DAY The Premier ’98 Girls Red team, coached by Jim Wain, defeated four state champions on their way to this year’s Presidents’ Day Tournament Championship Match. The girls defeated Real Colorado Athletico (CO) 3-2, North OKC (OK) 3-0, and tied San Tan Legacy (AZ) 0-0 in bracket play. They then defeated FC Dallas Blue (TXN) 1-0 in the semi-final to advance to the title match against FC Dallas (TXN) – another state champion! The Final saw both teams play to a 0-0 halftime score, with solid play. FC Dallas scored in the tenth minute of the second half and our girls responded with several opportunities. With time running out and Premier pressing, FC Dallas scored another late goal making the final score 2-0. Our girls represented Premier SC very well all weekend long. Thanks to Coach Jim, our coaching staff, and parents. Well done ladies! |
