The Premier 03 Girls won the championship in the Mayor’s Cup U10 top flight division winning all 4 of their games. 

 

The girls opened up against a tough Real Colorado Olympico team, winning 2-0.  The second game was against Scottsdale Black Hawks (AZ), Premier dominated from the start by scoring 4 unanswered goals to eventually win   4-1.  The girls next played Heat FC CW, which they won 2-0. 

 

Then in the championship match Premier faced a very good Real Colorado National team which breezed through their bracket beating Heat FC MB 4-0, Neon Blue 9-0 and a team from Cal North 2-1.  The championship match went back and forth the 1st half with Premier missing a few goal opportunities. 

 

Then midway through the second half Premier’s Alexis Ponce kick a beautiful corner kick to an oncoming Jena Madrid who struck a volley that hit the back of the net to put Premier up 1-0.  Both teams continued to battle to the end and with 10 seconds left in the game Real Colorado’s center forward made a run and shot the ball from just inside the eighteen only to watch goal keeper Mya Johnson make an amazing game winning save.
